As a member of Gould & Ratner’s Litigation Practice, Alec Cerqueira focuses his practice in various areas of traditional labor and employment law. Alec handles a wide array of employment law matters pending in Illinois and Wisconsin state court, administrative venues, the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Prior to joining Gould & Ratner, Alec was an associate at a large U.S-based law firm.

Alec earned his J.D. from Marquette University Law School. During law school, he spent time at the National Labor Relations Board in Milwaukee. Alec also spent time at a nonprofit legal service clinic in Boston, assisting clients on employment matters. Alec is fluent in Portuguese.
