Alec is a dedicated and approachable labor and employment law attorney who strives to provide the highest-quality service for clients ranging from startups to large corporations.

He focuses on advising employers on day-to-day workplace matters, including conducting workplace training, drafting employment agreements and employee handbooks, and counseling clients on internal human resources issues and employment law compliance. He also manages a wide range of employment law cases pending in state courts of Illinois and Wisconsin, as well as before administrative agencies, including the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). 

As a first-generation attorney, Alec demonstrates remarkable grit and determination. For him, practicing law is all about understanding challenges and working to achieve the best possible outcome for his clients. His approachable nature allows him to build a strong rapport with clients, particularly those who may be less familiar with the legal process.

Prior to joining Gould & Ratner, Alec was an associate at a large U.S-based law firm.

Alec earned his J.D. from Marquette University Law School. He spent time at the National Labor Relations Board in Milwaukee during law school. Alec also spent time at a nonprofit legal service clinic in Boston, assisting clients on employment matters. Alec is fluent in Portuguese.
