Ashley Cross brings a well-rounded perspective to her work with start-ups and investment funds in a variety of complex transactional and corporate governance matters.

As an associate in Gould & Ratner’s Corporate Practice in the Chicago office and former business owner, she pulls from both her legal expertise and entrepreneurial background to provide guidance to clients regarding capital raises, fund formation, mergers and acquisitions, and outside general counsel matters.

Ashley’s practice spans industries but includes significant experience in the alternative energy, emerging technology, and agricultural technologies spaces.

Prior to joining Gould & Ratner, Ashley gained corporate law experience as an associate in the corporate group of a national law firm. While earning her J.D. from Boston College Law School, Ashley served as a Legal Fellow for U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth (IL), where she drafted proposed legislation and prepared memoranda on pending bills covering a wide range of policy issues.
