As Gould & Ratner’s Director of Professional Development, Dan Davies is responsible for designing, implementing and overseeing the professional development programs and initiatives for attorneys and other legal professionals within the firm.
Dan brings almost two decades of international experience in education and learning development to Gould & Ratner. Through his focus on workplace learning design, Dan has had the opportunity to develop business simulations, eLearnings, virtual instructor-led courses, webinars, resources and in-person classes in diverse industries, including legal, finance, banking, technology, pharmaceuticals and nonprofit.
Before joining Gould & Ratner, he was the Education Manager at the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism, tasked with overseeing the Commission's educational initiatives. He began his career as a teacher in the United Kingdom before working in Spain for many years teaching and developing curriculum. During this time, he was also a volunteer teacher in Romania for the nonprofit Bivol Trust.
Dan has a master’s degree in eLearning and Instructional Design from the University of Wisconsin-Stout and a bachelor’s degree in History and Society from the University of Worcester in England. In his free time, Dan can be found biking, sailing, playing soccer and riding his motorcycle.
