Tamara

Hibbard

Of Counsel

To Tamara Hibbard, it’s never just a contract — it’s a specific parcel of real estate with a history, a future, and a complex web of stakeholders, from owners and investors to lenders, tenants, and local authorities. Tamara brings a keen awareness of context and a thoughtful ability to balance competing interests, understanding that every deal is shaped as much by people and priorities as by property and paper.

With more than 20 years of real estate law experience, Tamara Hibbard represents developers, landlords, tenants, buyers and sellers in virtually all aspects of real estate law. Specific experience includes:

  • Facilitating a retailer’s transition from a build-to-suit tenant to self-development for a new store roll-out
  • Working with the preferred developer for a major retailer to acquire, build, open, and sell more than 75 outlets
  • Working with a major athletic franchise to acquire and build a premier community hub and practice facility under a redevelopment agreement
  • Representing a major fast food chain in the leasing and development of multiple outlets
  • Creating and improving an organization’s form transactional documents, process map, and reporting dashboard
  • Collaborating with other practices and departments to complete successful mergers and acquisitions

Acting as both in-house and outside counsel throughout her career, Tamara has a unique understanding of stakeholder interests in real estate transactions that allow her to anticipate issues and formulate alternatives for her clients that help transactions move forward quickly and effectively.

Prior to joining Gould & Ratner, Tamara was an attorney at Seyfarth Shaw.
