Virginia Harding, a member of Gould & Ratner’s Real Estate Practice, celebrated her retirement on Jan. 20 after 48 years of practicing law at Gould & Ratner. Virginia began her career with the firm in 1975 when she joined the Real Estate Group as our first female associate.  She later became Gould & Ratner’s first female equity partner, before continuing her practice as an of counsel attorney in 1995.

Virginia has in-depth experience in all aspects of commercial real estate and represents the developers of master planned communities, beginning with site acquisition through sell-out. Throughout her career, she handled transactions with national builders and developers in the Chicago metropolitan market. Virginia is a past president of the Chicago Mortgage Attorneys Association and an adjunct professor at the John Marshall Law School.

Gould & Ratner was Virginia’s longest professional relationship and she ends that relationship with many fond memories of transactions she worked on, clients she worked for, and her colleagues.

We congratulate Virginia on this exciting milestone!
