Nelly Rosenberg guides clients through complex real estate transactions, focusing on minimizing risks and getting deals done efficiently. Drawing on experience in property management and real estate and commercial litigation, Nelly brings a practical, business-oriented perspective to her transactional practice. Her focus is always on protecting her clients’ interests and achieving their objectives while moving transactions forward with efficiency.

Nelly handles virtually all aspects of real estate law, including commercial acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, financing, development, and other business-related matters. She advises clients throughout every stage of a purchase or sale, regularly negotiates office and retail leases, and assists clients throughout all phases of the development process, including zoning and land use matters.

Known for her solution-oriented approach and focus on clients’ core business objectives, Nelly’s diverse real estate practice has recently included the following:

  • Represented developer in the annexation, zoning, and development of 760-acre property 
  • Represented investors in the sale of a 42-property portfolio in a REIT transaction
  • Represented landlord in the negotiation of a 200,000+ square foot office lease for a prime Chicago office building
  • Real estate counsel to a regional supermarket chain in the acquisition of a 40+ store grocery chain

Prior to joining Gould & Ratner, Nelly served as an associate at a boutique law firm in Chicago.

While attending law school, Nelly served as the Executive Editor of the DePaul Law Review.
