Gould & Ratner is pleased to announce that Jennifer “Jenny” Villier has joined the firm as a Partner in its Corporate Practice in our Denver office. Her addition reflects the continued, strategic growth of our Denver team.
Jenny advises founder-led and private equity-backed companies at critical stages of growth, helping clients navigate complex legal and business challenges while aligning legal strategy with broader commercial objectives. With more than 20 years of experience spanning leading law firms and more than a decade in-house, she brings a practical, business-focused perspective to a wide range of corporate matters.
Her practice focuses on serving as outside general counsel to emerging and growth-stage companies, particularly in the software and technology sectors. Jenny regularly advises clients on commercial contracting, data privacy, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and issues involving artificial intelligence and global data protection requirements. She works closely with founders, executives, and investors to develop solutions that support growth while managing risk.
Prior to joining Gould & Ratner, Jenny served as General Counsel of a legal technology company. Most recently, she built and led the commercial legal function at a private equity-backed data analytics company, developing contracting processes, supporting high-volume SaaS transactions, and partnering cross-functionally across product, sales, and compliance teams. Earlier in her career, Jenny practiced at AmLaw 100 firms, where she advised fund sponsors on private equity and venture capital fund formation and represented clients in complex corporate transactions.
